Some special moments can never be recreated, and frankly, holding a pose or reposing for a photo can ruin their magic and spontaneity. An extra pair of creative eye is vital to catch the essence of your moment that the main photographer cannot cover. Essentially, this is why a “second shooter” - also referred to as a backup photographer - is needed in weddings.
By having a professional backup photographer, you are able to see different angles of all these important moments rather just see one perspective of your special event. Our artistic philosophy is to tell your story intimately, candidly and timelessly thru photography without stopping and ruining the moment. AKA "No Posing Preferred" rule.

When to hire a ṣecond ṣhooter?
- How many number of families/guests?
The tighter the timeline or the larger your guest list, the more likely you are to want to hire a backup photographer so as not to miss any important moments from the day that a main photographer cannot cover.
- What is your type of wedding?
If you have a wedding anniversary or an elopement, the focus might be less on glamour and posed shots but more on the intimate, romantic, personal candid moments. Examples are Las Vegas weddings, civil court unions, and just vows exchange in the beach or a remote jungle in front of shaman! Then perhaps, the second shooter would suffice as your main photographer.
- Lastly, how do you want your story be told?
If your style preference is editorial (photo-journalistic), and you might opt for our no-posing-preferred approach to capture spontaneous reaction moments and between moments to tell your story better. As your second shooter, Leia brings a uniquely playful perspective to every wedding shoot. With a background in multimedia designs and architecture, she has a knack for capturing candid moments and telling a story in 2D images and 3D spaces.
Enriched by her life and multidisciplinary work experiences, her second set of eyes - really adds an extra layer of depth and creativity to your wedding photos. She holds a Master of Arts degree in NYC, and most notably, a perpetual student of life, appreciator of arts and design, and a wanderlust.
If Leia is not traveling the world, you will probably find her taking pictures of her cats and beloved girls with her iPhone ... and planning her next creative project in the islands of Manhattan and Hawaii.
